What Is Bodywork?
Bodywork blends Eastern and Western hands-on techniques: Tui Na and Shiatsu acupressure, myofascial and trigger point release, cupping, and stretching. Dr. Dawna picks the approach, so you don’t have to.
Hands-on care that helps tension let go and stay gone.
Bodywork Techniques
-

Cupping
Gentle suction lifts skin and muscle to ease tight areas and boost circulation. Many people say it feels like a deep, relaxing stretch.
-

Gua Sha
A smooth tool glides along the skin to release tension and stiffness. Gua sha tools and cups are cleaned and disinfected between every patient.
-

Tui Na
A traditional Chinese hands-on thearpy that uses rhythmic pressing, kneading, and stretching to help loosen tight muscles and improve movement.
-

Shiatsu Acupressure
Japanese finger-pressure technique along the body's meridians, which may help calm the nervous system and ease tension.

Bodywork vs. Spa Treatments
Spa treatments: usually focused on relaxation, with the same routine each time.
Bodywork: guided by an assessment and targeted to where tension is held and why.
Dr. Dawna often pairs it with acupuncture or cupping to help the release last.
Includes intake, assessment, treatment, and take-home plan.
